I'm Teinor Francis, former Ayensuano Constituency vice chairman and 2019 parliamentary aspirant for the biggest opposition party (NDC) in Ghana. I hold a master degree in Finance (MBA). I've been an Assembly member for two consecutive times. During my Assembly work, I had the previlege to chair the following Sub committees; Social Service Committee and Disability Management committee for two consecutive terms. During my tenure as social service sub committee chairman the following project (Obuohu, Aye Kokooso, Govinakrom clinic) were initiated and executed respectively.
I also had the opportunity to serve the good farmers of Suhum Kraboa Coaltar (CCP) Cooperative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Limited as president. I demonstrate excellent leadership skills by building a strong cooperative to achieve the following below within two years;
1. The current union office
2. 3 unit classroom block at Ayisikrom and Duodukrom
3. Two boreholes at the union premises and Boase Sibi
4. Construct a training centre at Nankese Ningo
5. Renovate two unit classroom block with office at Kromameng
6. Rehabilitate Kukua and Abeho clinic
7. Complete 2unit classroom block at Abobiri
8. Acquire motorized spray machine for all the 41 societies
9. Acquire and distribute cutlasses, warrenton boot, and pesticide worth GH¢300,000.00 to all farmers
I won the position of vice chairman in the party to urgment leadership with my rich experience to enable the party win back it parliamentary seat lost in 2000. Lord and behold we won it and doing everything to maintain it in 2024 general election.
The major challenge in the political arena is one, the inconsistency on part of political leadership promises, two, monetization during contest, failure to reward hardworking but loyal members, health grounds and I can go on and on
It's challenging been a politician because of negative perception on politician and sometimes turn to be true, how people used to sacrifice good people for bad people because of one's parochial interest. It came to time when a lady in my community was refused to be given political item by then leader but was later told that it was the reason why she was not given, meanwhile there wasn't any truth in it but just to paint me black within the eye of my people for political favor. I nearly respond but I decide to let it go for peace and tranquility.
My major priorities for the office of vice chairman is to bring unity among members and win power in 2020 which we were partly achieved but left with the presidential which I had enough hope in the coming elections.
Maintaining a healthy working environment is where individuals role are well define and members are well oriented to enable the organization achieve it ultimate goal. Thanks so much for the opportunity given me and hope to digest more in the next interview.
